The Company now has sites located in Ecclesfield (Sheffield), Mereside (Peterborough), Paddock Wood (Kent) and Sheerness

The Company currently has a fleet of 54 vehicles, with around 75 trailers, both refrigerated box trailers or curtain sided insuliners.

R W Simpson Transport is also members of the Freight Transport Association (FTA) and United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) and trades under both organisations terms and conditions.

The Company prides itself on its presentation, with a modern fleet of vehicles and a dedicated workforce. All drivers wear a uniform and high visibility clothing, to ensure safety. The Company has the traditional colours of red, blue and white; the vehicles also have the distinctive logo from the American cartoon series “The Simpson’s”.

Customers

R W Simpson Transport Ltd currently has around 600 customer contacts, including most major importer and growers, with contracts to deliver fresh produce and chilled foods to the regional distribution centres of many of the major supermarket chains, including, Wm Morrison, Tesco, Iceland and Lidl.
